The Academy’s new intake of Year 7 students have been getting used to school life after starting at Thomas Clarkson this week.

Year 7s and Year 11s started the new term on Wednesday (September 5) and the rest of the students returned on Thursday (September 6).

On their first day at the Academy Year 7s were given a tour of the building and were introduced to their learning community.

Arturas Cesna, who is in the Pankhurst learning community, joins the Academy from Orchards Primary School in Wisbech. He said: “On the first day I met my form tutor, then I went to breakfast, which was nice. Then we looked around the school, we saw nearly every single thing.”

Lukas Butavchus, who is in King and was also at Orchards Primary School, said: “We had breakfast and then we had a tour around the school, we saw everything, even the third floor. I was excited to start school.”
