Students have been donating food and toys all week as part of a festive Families In Need appeal in aid of the Salvation Army.

Students have been bringing in tins and packets of food, chocolates, books, toys, biscuits and other donations that could help to make someone’s Christmas really special.

A raffle has been taking place all week and will be drawn tomorrow (Friday 21st).

All of the food and toys donated will be given to the local Salvation Army, who will pass them on to local families in need.

All of the money raised will also be given to the Salvation Army.

Russell Day, Alison Day and Clare Kinsey from the Wisbech branch of the Salvation Army visited TCA on Tuesday to learn more about what the students have been doing for their appeal.

Mr Day said: “It’s really exciting that the students are so enthused about helping others.”

Head of the King Learning Community, Sarah Loosemore, said: “The students have been very enthusiastic about the appeal and helping others.”
