BTEC ICT – First Certificate in Information and Creative Technology

The BTEC Firsts in Information and Creative Technology have been developed to inspire and enthuse learners to become technology savvy – to become producers of technology – and computer-based products and systems, rather than just consumers of them. This involves learners creating technology-based products or systems.

Homework and Revision Resources:

Homework for all year groups is set on ‘Show My Homework’ and is designed to support and develop the learning that is taking place in our classrooms in relation to our Schemes of Learning.  Homework is set on a weekly basis and should take 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
Computer Science and ICT resources are available to students 24/7 through our SharePoint sites. Additional Business Resources may also be found on SharePoint. This include past papers and mark schemes, matching/crossword activities and a checklist of content knowledge.

Additional KS4 Revision Resources:

  • BBC Bitesize provides valuable information on ICT, Business and Computer Science.
  • Awarding exam board websites for past papers, revision and exam practice.
  • The Faculty provides revision text books at the beginning of the course.
