International Activities
At Thomas Clarkson Academy, we are proud to offer our students a rich and engaging international experience that broadens horizons and celebrates global diversity. Through a wide range of international activities, partnerships and curriculum links, students are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of different cultures, global issues and their role as responsible global citizens.
In recognition of this work, we are delighted to have received the British Council International School Award, celebrating our commitment to embedding international learning across the academy. This achievement reflects the enthusiasm of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the strong international links we continue to build, ensuring our learners are well prepared for an increasingly interconnected world.
World Cup 2026 #IAMTCA
On Thursday 25th June 2026, Year 7 students from Thomas Clarkson Academy and The Wisbech Academy enjoyed an exciting performance of Shipwrecked en France by Onatti Productions.
The play tells the story of Max, a young English boy who becomes stranded along the French coast after drifting away on an inflatable dinghy. As he tries to find his way back to his family, he encounters a series of colourful French-speaking characters. Through humour, audience participation and plenty of misunderstandings, students were able to experience French in a fun, engaging and memorable way. The production is specifically designed for beginner French learners, combining English and French to build confidence and reinforce classroom learning.
The performance was full of energy, laughter and interactive moments, with several students volunteering to take part on stage. Their enthusiasm helped bring the story to life and demonstrated excellent confidence in using their French. The actors created a lively atmosphere that encouraged all students to listen carefully, respond to familiar vocabulary and enjoy learning the language in a different context.
The experience provided an excellent opportunity to reinforce key vocabulary, develop listening skills and gain a greater appreciation of French language and culture. It was a fantastic way to complement students' learning in the classroom, and Year 7 thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining and educational performance.
Many thanks to Onatti Productions for another inspiring visit and well done to all of our Year 7 students for their enthusiastic participation and excellent behaviour throughout the performance.
