This is assessed through coursework 30% of overall grade 

In this unit you will learn about the growth and development through the life stages, you will also learn how to understand the needs of individuals who have been affected by life events and how to recommend support to meet their needs.  

Topics include:

R035 – Health & promotion campaigns  

This is assessed through coursework 30% of overall grade 

In this unit you will research the and apply the fundamental principles and concepts health promotion & campaigns  

Topics include: 

  1. Current public health issues 

  1. Factors influencing health  

  1. Plan and create a health promotion campaign 

  1. Deliver and evaluate a health promotion campaign  

 

R032 – Principles of health care 

This is assessed by an exam 40% of overall grade 

In this unit you will learn about the key topics that are important when caring for and protecting people in health and social care. 

Topics include: 

  1. The rights of service users 

  1. Person-centred values of care  

  1. Effective communication  

  1. Protecting service users and service providers in a health and social care setting.

UNIT 1: HUMAN LIFESPAN DEVELOPMENT

Assessment outcomes

UNIT 5: MEETING INDIVIDUAL CARE AND SUPPORT NEEDS

A Examine how psychological perspectives contribute to the understanding of human development and behaviour

B Examine the contribution of psychological perspectives to the management and treatment of service users’ specific behaviours

C Examine how psychological perspectives are applied in health and social care settings.
